Overview

The In-Class TESOL Program at AVSE is designed for aspiring ESL educators who want to teach English in Cambodia and value face-to-face training in an interactive learning environment. Delivered exclusively in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, the program places participants in a real classroom environment from the outset, combining structured coursework with supervised lesson planning, observed teaching practice and personalised feedback from experienced trainers. Upon successful completion, participants receive an Australian Government regulated TESOL qualification and are well positioned to pursue ESL teaching opportunities in Cambodia or elsewhere in the world.

Training Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Phnom Penh, Cambodia, is the delivery location for AVSE’s In-Class TESOL Program. Our long-standing partnership with the Westline Education Group provides trainees with face-to-face ESL teacher training within an established school environment.

Teaching practice is conducted with real ESL learners. TESOL trainees begin by observing experienced teachers before progressing to supervised classroom teaching with personalised feedback. As their confidence and skills develop, they move on to independent teaching while continuing to receive assessment and support from AVSE trainers.

Throughout the program, participants develop practical teaching knowledge and classroom skills while completing the requirements for an Australian Government regulated TESOL qualification. Structured coursework, lesson planning, observed teaching practice and assessment work together to build the confidence and practical experience needed to succeed as an ESL teacher.

Upon successful completion, graduates are well positioned to pursue ESL teaching opportunities in Cambodia or elsewhere in the world.
